Set the paper size to 4×6 on a Munbyn

  • Set Stock to 4.00 in x 6.00 in, not User defined, so the gap length is right.
  • Keep orientation Portrait and rotation at 0.
  • Set print scaling to None or 100% in the Advanced Options panel.
  • Press and hold the feed button for about three seconds to calibrate after loading a new roll.

Recommended Munbyn settings by device

Mac

  1. 1Install the Munbyn macOS driver for your model, then add the printer in System Settings, Printers & Scanners.
  2. 2In the print dialog choose Paper Size 4.00 x 6.00 in.
  3. 3Set Scale to 100% and uncheck Scale to fit.
  4. 4Under Printer Features set Darkness to 10 of 15 and Speed to 4 ips.
  5. 5Save as a Preset so the size does not fall back to US Letter.

Windows

  1. 1Install the driver, then open Printing preferences for the Munbyn.
  2. 2On the Page Setup tab, click Stock, choose 4.00 in x 6.00 in, and Apply.
  3. 3Open Advanced Options and set Print scaling to None.
  4. 4On the Options tab set Darkness 10 and Speed 4 ips.
  5. 5In your PDF viewer choose Actual size and untick Choose paper source by PDF page size.

iPhone

  1. 1Bluetooth models (RW401, 941B) print through the Munbyn Print app; Wi-Fi models appear in AirPrint.
  2. 2Convert the label above and save the 4 × 6 PDF to Files.
  3. 3In the app or Share sheet choose the printer, set label size 4 x 6 in, and turn Fit to page off.
  4. 4Test one label before running a batch, since the app remembers the last size used.

Android

  1. 1Install Munbyn Print or Mopria Print Service and pair the printer.
  2. 2Open the converted PDF and choose Print.
  3. 3Set Paper size to 4 x 6 in and Scale to 100%.
  4. 4If the preview shows white margins around the label, the paper size is still A4 or Letter.

Fix labels that print tiny, off-center or across two labels

The label prints in the corner at a quarter size
The stock is set to Letter. Change Stock to 4.00 in x 6.00 in and set print scaling to None, then reprint the converted 4 × 6 file.
One label spreads over two labels
Calibrate by holding the feed button for three seconds with the roll loaded. If it still splits, the stock length is set longer than 6 in.
The print creeps down the roll a little more each label
That is a gap-sensor drift. Recalibrate, and make sure the roll spindle turns freely so the liner is not dragging.
The label is off-center
Set margins to 0 and slide the paper guides in until they just touch the liner. Munbyn guides are easy to leave too wide.
Settings reset after a Windows update
Reopen Printing preferences, set the stock again and press Apply before OK, which writes it to the printer defaults rather than only the current job.
